The oral history project at the old Ebenezer Chapel is an exciting opportunity for the past to be brought forward and presented to us here in the present. In this way, memories, thoughts, feelings and friendships can be kept alive and given new life just as the Cornerstone Project breathes new life into the building itself. This will be done with a series of interviews with pillars of the former community about their memories and the impact Ebenezer had on their lives. These short interviews will be made available through an open source platform such that those of us who value Cardiff’s cultural history will always have access to it. Ebenezer once had a thriving and lively Welsh speaking community, a community we hope to immortalise such that it may continue to enrich us and our understanding of how faith communities bind together those whose lives they touch.
